No essential work experience is required for these Junior Scientific Assistant posts. However, selected candidates must complete the induction training prescribed by the department during probation.

Important Qualification Tip

Do not check only the name of your master’s degree. Some posts also require a particular subject to have been studied during the B.Sc. course. For example, a candidate applying for Chemistry may need Chemistry as a subject throughout the required period at graduation level.

Important Note for OBC Candidates

The application fee was ₹100 for candidates who were not covered by a fee exemption.

For the One-Tier Technical Examination, the required minimum standard applies to the subject-specific section and the combined score. Simply passing the minimum marks does not guarantee selection because the final cut-off may be higher depending on vacancies and candidate performance.

Selected candidates will receive a pay scale of ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 under Pay Level 5. The posts are classified as Group C, General Central Service, Non-Gazetted and Non-Ministerial.
