Candidates who score less than 30% in the preliminary exam will not be considered for the main exam. Based on prelims marks, up to 10 times the number of vacancies may be selected for the main exam.

The main exam has two papers.

Paper 1 will have 200 questions for 200 marks. The time limit is 3 hours. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Paper 2 will be of 1 hour. Candidates need at least 30% marks in both papers. Based on the written exam, candidates up to 3 times the vacancies may be called for the physical test.

The final merit list will be prepared mainly on the basis of marks obtained in the main written examination. If two or more candidates get equal marks, the older candidate will be placed higher. If the tie remains, educational qualification and then Hindi alphabetical order of name may be used.

Candidates need to apply through the Bihar Police tab on the official BPSSC website. The online form has two parts.

First, candidates must register with their name, nationality, mobile number, email ID, domicile details, category, gender, and date of birth. After registration and payment, the registration number and password will be sent by SMS and email.

After login, candidates need to fill in personal details, address, educational details, and upload a recent photo and signatures. The photo should be recent, colored, and taken on a white background. The photo and signatures should be uploaded in the required size and format.

Before final submit, check every detail. After final submission, BPSSC may not allow changes. Take a printout of the acknowledgement on A4 paper and keep it safe for future use.
