DRDO DEAL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Apply Online

The DRDO DEAL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification has been released for 77 apprentice training positions. Graduate, Diploma and ITI-qualified candidates can apply for one year of training at the Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory in Dehradun.The available positions include 19 Graduate Apprentice posts, 8 Diploma Apprentice posts and 50 ITI Apprentice posts. The advertisement was published on 23 June 2026. The selected applicants will complete a one-year apprenticeship beginning from the date their apprenticeship contract is signed.

The 77 training seats are divided into three main apprenticeship levels.

The Graduate and Diploma stipend is paid partly by DEAL and partly through BOAT under the Direct Benefit Transfer system. The stipend rates may also change according to government rules.

The 19 Graduate Apprentice openings cover:

• Electrical Engineering
• Library Science

Candidates applying for engineering disciplines need a relevant B.E., B.Tech. or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks.

For Library Science, candidates need a B.Sc. in PCM or PCB along with B.Lib. or B.L.I.Sc. They must have at least 60% marks in each degree.

The eight Diploma Apprentice positions are available in:

Applicants need a Diploma in Engineering or Technology, or an equivalent qualification, with at least 60% marks in the relevant discipline.

ITI candidates must have passed the relevant trade and hold a valid NCVT or SCVT certificate. The notification gives 50 total ITI seats but does not provide a separate seat count for each trade.

Applicants must meet all conditions given in the official notice. Meeting the basic education requirement alone does not guarantee selection.

Nationality

Only Indian nationals can apply for the DRDO DEAL apprenticeship.

Passing Year

Candidates must have passed their required qualification in one of the following years:

2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026

Applicants who passed before 2022 are not eligible. Those waiting for their final result are also not eligible unless the result is available before the application deadline.

Regular Education Requirement

The qualifying course must have been completed as a regular candidate. Applicants who completed the qualification through a study mode that does not meet this condition may be rejected.

Higher Qualification Rule

Candidates holding a qualification higher than the one required for the selected apprenticeship level are not eligible.

For example, a candidate should not apply for a Diploma Apprentice position using a Diploma when they already hold a higher engineering degree. Applicants should select the position that matches their required qualification.

Previous Apprenticeship and Experience

A candidate cannot apply when they:

• Have already completed apprenticeship training
• Are currently completing apprenticeship training
• Have one year or more of work experience after receiving the required qualification

This condition is important because it may make an otherwise qualified candidate ineligible.

Age Limit

Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

The maximum age and category-based relaxation will follow the Apprentices Act, Apprentice Rules and the applicable NATS or NAPS guidelines.

DRDO DEAL Apprentice Application Fee

The official notification does not list an application fee. Candidates should not make any payment to unofficial websites, agents or social media accounts claiming to provide guaranteed selection or form submission services.

Applications will be accepted online only. The portal depends on the candidate’s qualification.

For Graduate and Diploma Candidates

Graduate and Diploma applicants must use the NATS 2.0 portal.

1. Register on the NATS 2.0 website.
2. Complete the student profile.
3. Log in to the account.
4. Open the advertised vacancies section.
5. Search using the DEAL ID NUKDDC000015.
6. Select the relevant discipline.
7. Complete the application.
8. Upload the required documents.
9. Review all details before final submission.
10. Save and print the submitted application.

The NATS registration process requires personal contact details, Aadhaar-based verification and qualification documents.

For ITI Candidates

ITI applicants must apply through the NAPS portal.

1. Register on the Apprenticeship India or NAPS portal.
2. Log in to the candidate account.
3. Open My Opportunities.
4. Select All Opportunities.
5. Use the establishment search filter.
6. Search for Defence Electronics Application Laboratory.
7. Confirm establishment code E01160500005.
8. Choose the relevant ITI trade.
9. Upload the requested documents.
10. Submit and save the application.

The notification states that incomplete, incorrect or late applications will be rejected.

The Aadhaar-linked bank account is needed for receiving the stipend through DBT.

The selection method is not limited to one fixed stage. DEAL may shortlist candidates through:

• Academic merit
• Written test

The exact method may depend on the number of applications, available seats, discipline and category. DEAL can create its own shortlisting criteria and is not required to call every candidate who meets the minimum eligibility conditions.

Check every form entry against your certificates. Your name, date of birth, passing year and marks should match your official documents.

Upload clear files. Blurry marksheets or incomplete certificates can create problems during verification.

Use an active email address. DEAL will send selection and joining information by email.

Do not wait until the final day. Portal errors, e-KYC issues or document upload problems may delay the application.

Keep printed and digital copies of the submitted form, portal profile and uploaded documents.

The apprenticeship will continue for one year from the date the contract is executed.

Selected candidates should understand that this is an apprenticeship training opportunity, not a permanent DRDO appointment. The notification clearly states that completing the training does not provide a right to permanent, temporary or contractual employment at DEAL or DRDO.

DEAL will also not provide TA, DA, accommodation, transport or medical facilities during the selection process or training period. Candidates should consider travel and living costs before applying for training in Dehradun.

The official notification describes the deadline as 30 days from publication. The official DRDO vacancy listing shows 22 July 2026 as the end date, so candidates should submit the form on or before that date.

Submit only one accurate application for the relevant discipline or trade.

Do not provide false information or altered documents. DEAL may cancel a candidate’s application, selection or training at any stage when information is found to be incorrect.

Selection becomes final only after the competent authority approves the apprenticeship contract online. Candidates must also report by the given joining date. Failure to report can result in cancellation.
