Rajasthan High Court Stenographer Recruitment 2026

Rajasthan High Court has released the Stenographer Recruitment 2026 notification for 163 vacancies. These posts include Stenographer Grade-III in Hindi and English for District Courts and Stenographer Grade-II in Hindi for District Legal Services Authorities.The online application process will start on 22 July 2026 at 1:00 PM. Eligible candidates can submit the form until 10 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. The last date to pay the examination fee is 11 August 2026.

The examination is likely to be held in Jaipur. The exact date, reporting time and centre address will be shared later through a separate notice.

The 163 vacancies are divided between District Courts and District Legal Services Authorities. Separate posts are available for TSP and Non-TSP areas.

District-wise and category-wise vacancies are listed in the annexures attached to the official notification. The number of posts may increase or decrease during the recruitment process.

TSP means Tribal Sub-Plan Area. Candidates applying for TSP posts must meet the residence and eligibility rules given in the notification.

Non-TSP vacancies are available for other listed districts and areas. Candidates should select the correct area because the category and area entered in the final application may not be changed later.

You must meet the educational, computer, age, nationality and fitness requirements before submitting the form.

Educational Qualification

A candidate must have passed Senior Secondary, or Class 12, in Arts, Science or Commerce from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education or another recognised board.

Candidates with a higher recognised qualification may also apply. They must also have:

• Good working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script
• Knowledge of Rajasthani dialects
• A recognised computer qualification

The required computer qualification may include any one of the following:

• DOEACC “O” Level or higher certificate
• COPA or DPCS certificate
• Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Application
• Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering
• Rajasthan State Certificate in Information Technology, commonly called RSCIT
• Senior Secondary with Computer Science as an optional subject
• Any recognised equivalent or higher computer qualification

Candidates should check whether their certificate is accepted before paying the application fee.

Nationality

The applicant must be:

• A citizen of India
• A subject of Nepal, or
• A subject of Bhutan

Applicants from Nepal or Bhutan may need an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

Physical Fitness

The candidate must be mentally and physically fit to perform stenographer duties. A medical fitness certificate may be required after selection.

Separate relaxation rules are provided for reservists, NCC cadet instructors, certain former commissioned officers and other special categories. Applicants claiming relaxation should read the related clauses in the official notification.

The fee depends on the applicant’s category and state.

The fee can be paid through the payment methods shown on the application portal, including e-Mitra or CSC services, net banking, debit card or credit card.

The examination fee is generally non-refundable. Check every entry before making payment.

Selected candidates will work as probationer trainees for two years.

During probation, they will receive a fixed monthly payment of ₹23,700. After successfully completing probation, the post carries Pay Matrix Level L-10 with a pay scale of ₹33,800 to ₹1,06,700.

Allowances and other service benefits will be provided according to the applicable Rajasthan government rules.

The recruitment process includes three main parts:

1. Shorthand test in Hindi or English
2. Computer speed and efficiency test
3. Qualifying interview

The interview carries no marks. The final merit list is mainly prepared using the combined marks from the shorthand and computer tests.

Candidates will take the shorthand test in the language of the post for which they apply.

Candidates from SC, ST and PwBD categories must obtain at least 20 marks in each computer paper. Other candidates must obtain at least 22.5 marks in each paper.

The minimum computer speed mentioned in the notification is 8,000 key depressions per hour. The efficiency test may check document formatting, paragraphs, pages, tables and letters.

Follow these steps when the application portal opens:

2. Open the Recruitment section.
3. Select Stenographer for District Court and DLSAs 2026.
4. Download and read the official notification.
5. Click the online application link after it becomes active.
6. Register using your correct name, mobile number and email address.
7. Enter your personal, educational and category details.
8. Select the correct post, language, TSP or Non-TSP area and district preferences.
9. Upload the required photograph, signature, thumb impression, declaration and identity proof.
10. Review the complete form before final submission.
11. Pay the examination fee.
12. Download the submitted form and payment receipt.

Once the form is finally submitted, candidates may not be allowed to change their entries. Do not enter an incorrect category, date of birth, post language or district preference.

Prepare clear scanned copies of these documents before starting the application:

Selecting the Wrong Post Language

Choose Hindi or English carefully. Your shorthand and computer tests will be linked to the language of the post you select.

Using an Expired Certificate

Check the issue date and validity of your category, EWS, disability or income certificate before applying.

Waiting Until the Last Day

High traffic, slow internet or payment errors can stop you from submitting the form. Complete the application several days before 10 August.

Uploading an Unclear Photograph

Use a recent photograph and readable documents. Blurred files may create problems during verification.

Forgetting the Payment Receipt

Download the final application and payment receipt. Keep both files until the recruitment process is finished.

Start shorthand practice before the application deadline. Do not wait for the exam date announcement.

For the Hindi post, practise dictation near 70 words per minute. For the English post, work towards 80 words per minute. Focus on accuracy first and then improve speed.

For the computer test:

• Practise typing every day
• Learn paragraph and page formatting
• Practise creating tables
• Work on letter formatting
• Reduce spelling and punctuation errors
• Take timed tests of 10 and 50 minutes
• Check your work before time ends

The notification allows only a limited margin for mistakes in the shorthand test, so clean transcription is as important as fast typing.

The admit card will be uploaded online. It will not be sent by post.

Selection remains provisional until the candidate’s age, education, category and other documents are checked. A candidature can be cancelled at any stage if incorrect information or false documents are found.

Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators and other communication devices will not be allowed inside the examination centre.
